HUMAN REALMS
Solamir
The greatest kingdom of Men in the west, Solamir stands as a realm of ancient cities, noble houses, and enduring vigilance. From the shining walls of Solanith to the guarded marches of Solvalore, it remains the last great heir to the old traditions of kingship and order.
Atlar
A land of broad grasslands, horse-lords, and wind-swept halls, Atlar is famed for its riders and fierce independence. Its people prize kinship, courage, and freedom above all else.
Hiro
Far to the east, beyond the River Rein, lies Hiro, a realm of mountain fortresses, ancient customs, and disciplined warrior clans. Its people are renowned for their honor, restraint, and devotion to tradition.
Malterra
South of the known kingdoms stretches Malterra, a harsh land of burning deserts, rich trade, and rival city-states. Though united by geography, its peoples are divided by ancient rivalries and differing visions of power.
Karanak
The strongest and most warlike of the cities of Malterra, Karanak is a harsh realm of black stone, slave armies, and relentless ambition. Strength is law beneath the shadow of its great walls.
Andahar
A city of wealth, learning, and hidden intrigue, Andahar stands as the most refined of the southern kingdoms. Its markets, palaces, and temples draw merchants and nobles from across Athera.
Sefr-Tariq
Built where caravan roads and river trade meet, Sefr-Tariq is a city of merchants, travelers, and uneasy neutrality. It thrives not through conquest, but by standing between rival powers.
Vardane
Once a proud northern kingdom of Men, Vardane now survives only in scattered holds, ruined keeps, and the memories of its people. Its fall still haunts the northern marches.
Torgol
Beyond Hiro and the eastern plains lies Torgol, a harsh and distant land of riders, raiders, and endless horizons. Few in the west know much of it beyond its fearsome reputation.
Brandok
A rugged land of hills, forests, and stubborn clans, Brandok lies between the northern wilds and the kingdoms of men. Its people are hardy, independent, and slow to forget old feuds.
ELVEN REALMS
Druathen
Hidden deep within ancient forests, Druathen is the oldest and most secretive of the elven realms. Its people preserve the memory of the world before the rise of Men.
Ilthariel
A golden woodland east of the River Aeon, Ilthariel is a realm of silver halls and towering trees. Though fair and beautiful, it stands watch against the darkness beyond.
Elaranth
Far to the west beside the Westerdeep lies Elaranth, a haven of the Sea Elves and keeper of the ancient harbors. Its white ships still sail seas no mortal chart records.
Tiraelor
High among the hidden valleys of the mountains stands Tiraelor, a secluded realm of starlit towers and ancient lore. Few outsiders are ever permitted to see it.
Underdeep
Beneath the mountains and forests lies the Underdeep, a vast realm of caverns, buried rivers, and eternal night. Many strange peoples dwell below, far from the light of the surface.
Drov
The greatest city of the Underdeep, Drov is a place of shadowed halls, ancient power, and ruthless ambition. Its people rule through fear, cunning, and long memory.
Nabbress
Deep within the caverns beyond Drov lies Nabbress, a dark and treacherous realm where old evils still linger. Even the peoples of the Underdeep speak of it with unease.
DWARVEN REALMS
Moredun
The oldest and greatest kingdom of the dwarves, Moredun lies beneath the highest peaks of the Skyreach Mountains. Its halls are famed for their wealth, craft, and ancient kings.
Thargrim
A northern realm of stone and snow, Thargrim endures amid the frozen heights of the Frostreach. Its dwarves are grim, hardy, and fiercely loyal to their kin.
Grakklnor
Known as the Glittering Gem, Grakklnor rises alone above the northeastern plains. Its mines are rich beyond measure, and its wealth has long drawn envy and war.
Ashenfall
Once a proud dwarven kingdom, Ashenfall now lies broken and abandoned near the borders of Umbramor. Its ruined halls are haunted by fire, ash, and old sorrow.
ORKISH REALMS
Gorgat
The largest of the orkish lands, Gorgat is a realm of countless tribes bound together by strength and conquest. Its warlords dream always of the richer lands to the south.
Kaah-Wad
A harsh land of barren hills and broken stone, Kaah-Wad is home to fierce tribes who survive through raiding and war. Few outsiders enter its lands and live.
Waah-Kad
Far to the east beyond the known marches lies Waah-Kad, a savage realm of endless plains and wandering hordes. Its people are feared even among other orks.
Umbramor
Once the heartland of Everon, Umbramor is now a scar upon the world: a land of broken mountains, ash-filled skies, and the ruins of a forgotten empire. The veil between Kai'lar and the Abyss lies thin there, and demons are known to roam its blasted wastes.
SEAS & ISLANDS
The seas of Athera are vast and perilous, dotted with hidden islands, storm-wracked coasts, and forgotten ruins. Beyond the known shores lie mysteries few sailors survive to tell.
WILDERNESS & FRONTIERS
Between the kingdoms lie great regions untamed by crown or city: deep forests, frozen wastes, barren plains, and mountains where ancient things still dwell. These frontiers are places of danger, freedom, and forgotten history.
