Special Thanks

'Death's Omen MUD stands on the shoulders of giants.'

We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to all the developers, storytellers, coders, builders, and contributors of Shadows of Isildur over its many years. Their creativity, their systems, and their dedication to text-based roleplay laid solid foundations -foundations which we have been able to learn from, build upon, and reshape into something new.

While Death's Omen is an entirely original setting with its own lore, history, and cosmology, we acknowledge that parts of our codebase and several region file structures began life in the SoI lineage. Through careful modification, adaptation, and reinvention, their legacy continues here in a new form.

To every hand, named or unnamed, that ever touched the SoI code, wrote a zone file, documented a command, designed a system, or simply kept the world alive long enough for others to build upon it:

Thank you.

Your work still echoes - and lives on - within Death's Omen.

About Me:

Embarking upon my journey as a role player, I first delved into the enchanting realm of Forever's End at the tender age of sixteen, under the guidance of the venerable Caladan, known on Armageddon Mud as Tleilax. Enamored by the allure of Dungeons & Dragons, I immersed myself ceaselessly in the intricacies of the game until its eventual closure, only to witness its phoenix-like resurgence as Forever's End 2. Alas, despite my fervent dedication, the game met an untimely demise, prompting a venture into other realms such as Harshlands, Shadows of Isildur, and Armageddon, where my passion for immersive role-playing thrived.

Following a hiatus, my return in 2012 saw me once again ensnared by the captivating world of Armageddon, rekindling the flames of my enduring ardor for RPI muds. Now, at the age of forty-two, I stand with a wealth of experiences, eager to channel my passion into the creation of a remarkable haven for fellow enthusiasts-a sanctuary where immersive role-playing converges with enjoyment, crafting an enduring legacy for those seeking the thrill of storytelling and camaraderie.
