The following are the months used throughout the kingdoms of Athera. Although different lands keep their own local customs, the common reckoning - used by Solamir and its vassal realms - follows the course of Sol and Nimura, dividing the year into twelve months of thirty days each. Between these months fall the sacred feastdays of the Eternals, marking the turning of seasons and the balance of light and shadow. In addition, every leap year adds an additional feastday of dread, known as Mawdreth.

Liton is the first month of the year; Ormazen is the last.
The feastdays are as follows:
'Aelunir' between Zephyr and Aelor:
The Festival of Renewal, sacred to Aelora, Seyth, and Zephyra. Spring's return is celebrated with ribbons, laughter, and the casting of blossoms upon rivers. Clerics of Zephyra speak omens of the year's growth and fortune.
'Belyndor', between Faeron and Kyros:
The Oathfire, sacred to Kyte, Vragmir, and Belial. The longest day of the year is marked by bonfires and vows sworn in flame. Warriors pledge loyalty, artisans display their craft, and the heat of Sol's gaze tempers both blade and spirit.
'Mawdreth', leap year only, after Belyndor:
The Black Day, when Mor’tael, Darketh, and Belial contest for dominion. Storms and madness haunt the land, temples close their doors, and even the bold hide from the sky. A day outside of time, feared and unblessed.
'Faerune', between Orryndar and Darkethis:
The Harvestcall, sacred to Faerion, Oruss, and Ormaz. The year's end brings gratitude and reflection. Fields, forests, and seas are blessed, and the fruits of wisdom, trade, and toil are shared in grand feasts and song.
'Vorneth' and 'Aurivorn', between Ormazen and Liton:
The twin feasts of midwinter. Vorneth - "The Night of Veils" - marks the old year's passing, sacred to Darketh. Fires are extinguished
and all pray that her shadow passes them by. Aurivorn - "The Dawn of Reckoning" - follows at sunrise, sacred to Liteon, Anu, and Nara. Fires are rekindled, vows renewed, and the names of the dead are spoken beneath Sol's first light.
In addition, there are a number of culturally and spiritually significant days scattered throughout the year. They are:
12th Zephyr - Lithear, "The Dawning":
Celebrated as the year’s true spring by the faithful of Liteon and Aelora. Offerings of flame and flowers mark the turning from frost to bloom.
10th Seythra - Thessara, "The Goldenbloom":
A festival of fortune and revelry under Seyth’s blessing. Coins are polished, dice cast, and markets fill with laughter and song.
11th Vrag - Khagaros, "The Day of Iron and Blood":
The forges blaze and warriors test their mettle. Vragmir's priests temper blades and courage alike in sacred flame.
12th Darkethis - Noctyra, "The Darkening":
The waning year’s vigil, when Darketh’s servants whisper through the streets. Fires are dimmed, and the brave keep watch until
Ormazen's frost begins.
As a final note, in common use, feastday names are not capitalized, while the names of the proper holidays are.
